M9 Alive and ....well- Post Your Pics Here!

Jim I use the Zeiss 18 with the Zeiss finder. I frame and then return to the Leica internal finder where smaller framelines and the rangefinder patch make it easier to centre and to keep the camera level. There is still the problem of not having the camera parallel to the face of the subject, but it certainly helps get a level shot. I find the M5 is the best camera for very wide lenses, but I haven't used the 18 on that, and don't know whether it can safely go on.

Thank you Richard. I have the Zeiss 18mm finder also but I do it opposite. I will try your way and i'm sure it will work better. I'll let you know.

Thanks
Jim

Thank you also Raid!

Renzsu - I love this set, and especially the horse. Are you a fan of Josef Koudelka? Your work strongly reminds me of his.

Wow, that's a very big compliment. Thanks!
I actually took those photos during a workshop with Ernesto Bazan, who has had a big impact on the way that I shoot (can really recommend his workshops, but at least take a good look at his work). He himself is a big fan of Koudelka, perhaps in that way I got influenced indirectly :)

Hah I love people looking at their gadgets with puzzled eyes!

Have some of em myself as well, the girl actually got a bit cross with me and tried to chase me. Only time that ever happened to me...

Jim nice posts! Is is the right time to pick up one of those M9s?

I love my M9, even have 2 of them. It would go well with your Monochrom. Not sure if the price will go down very quickly. With the order log jam on the M more people will hang on to the M9 at least for the next year. IMHO.

Cheers and Thank you.

Jim
