I could search flickr ... except I don't like the place so if you have some examples of this combination I'd be very appreciative. :)

I was wondering how kind the M9 is to this lens because it does suffer a few shortcomings that don't seem to matter too much with film ... but digital can be a much tougher mistress!

Not sure what those shortcomings are supposed to be. I love that lens on my M8, you can find examples on my flickr account

I love mine too but I have noticed it's a little flare prone and suffers from edge softness at f1.2 ... no biggy though because it has it's own very special look.

In my experience what looks ok on film doesn't always look so great with digital though.

Yeah, corner softness, on some samples even stopped down, and nervous bokeh that drives some people nuts.

The examples above are all wide open, to accentuate its flaws.

Flaws? The corner softness and nervous bokeh are the lens strong points which give it its marvelous personality!

Thanks for those ... and for pointing out they are all at f1.2.

I'm not a pixel peeper but obviously a full frame sensor will show everything the lens offers. I don't think the M8 can really demonstrate the true character of the lens due to the crop factor.

Got this lens last week, here are a few shots:
(not with the M9, only with the M8)

Stopped down it is pretty sharp all around the frame

In the center the resolution with my lens is quite good (RF works perfect on my M8), but the lens has lots of coma ("Canon Glow" ;-) ). This is the golden shimmer on the museum picture.

Here's a quick pic, I'm in the process of selling my pre-asp 50mm decided to keep the canon instead.
1.2 focused on the book.
