Dear All,
I'm new in this forum and i'm for the first time in an international forum.
Thanks for accepting my very bad English...
I'm owner of a new black paint M9 and i need to know if is possibile to utilize my Nocton CV 1,2 35mm, since with the M8 isn't possibile focus to infinity. My Nocton is an old tipe with two edges for protection at rear element.
For me is a very good lens and I would be happy to use it on the M9.
Tanks for tour kind reply.

Pigi: I think the M8 and the M9 are the same, the older 35/1.2 Noktons won't quite reach infinity. But you can send your older Nocton to either Photo Village (in New York) or Cameraquest (in California), and they will change the rear-element shield to one that doesn't touch the camera interior at infinity. I had this done to my Nokton, it now works fine on my M8.

In the meantime, you can still use the Nokton on the M9, just don't force the focus past the point where you feel it stop.

Peter, thanks for your reply.
I lives in Milan, Italy and so.. .it is not so easy to send my Nocton to Photo Village or camera Quesrt.
But maybe someone can indicate me a place in europe...
Aniway I opened today the box of my M9 and looking at the camera box it looks little bigger than M8, maybe due to the biggest sensor.
But I'm not a technician so...

Peter you are from Seattle, a beautiful city that I visited in 1985 when I was a summer student on English at the Evergreen state college in Olympia, WA.
Nice memories from me!

Thanks Simon.
Today I sent an e-mail to Voigtlander Germany, because in Italy ther's only a distributor in Rome that buy at Voigt Germany, but has not a service repair.
