M9 basic lightroom conversion

A question for all M9 owners. What basic settings do you use for dmg conversion in lightroom?
What's the best conversion software. I hate doing lots of post so I want the easiest way to get great skin tone and printable files.
I'm used to Nikon NX2 and it's a simple 2-3 step operation so any tips?

I don't own an M9, but do own an M8.

There are no basic settings I use for DNG conversion in Lightroom. I use the settings I find most appropriate for the shot. I know this is not the answer you were looking for (you probably want exact settings or a range of settings). The one thing I can say for sure is that you should often use "Adobe Standard" when your highlights are not blown, and "Camera Standard" when they tend to be, in the Camera Calibration panel (under "Development").

What you may need to do is find the settings you find you like in general, and create a Preset. That way you can select as many photos you want and apply it to them. That's pretty much the 2-3 step operation you're aiming for, right?

I recommend creating your own camera profile, perhaps even one for each lens. You need a Monaco color checker card for about $ 80, and Adobe profile creation software which is a free download. Just take a picture of the card, open it in the Adobe software, and put the file that is created with the other profiles for Photoshop. Them set it as the default in Lightroom. It is that easy and I find my custom profile to be much better than "embedded" for M9 or "camera standard" for M8.

Thx both of you for those ideas. What I found most frustrating with digital photography was getting the right colour.
For me, i've found it with Nikon, d700, nx2, d2x profile 1, a quick tweak of exposure and i'm done. It's the happiest i've been with digital so far.
I suppose i'm just looking for shortcuts to get where I want to be M9 wise as it took me 10yrs to find my Nikon happiness!

Actually, I find Capture One Pro 6.1 the best software for converting M9 files by a fair margin, except for high-ISO files, where ACR 6.0 for LR3/CS5 wins hands down regarding noise.
