M9 - Grey or Black

I have been reading that the grey finish on the M9 is susceptible to scratching easier than the black, and that is a bit dull looking. As it is now almost impossible to get the two in hand side by side or even one of them for that matter, does anyone have first hand knowledge of this issue?

I have no issues with painiting so far with my grey one. It was written elsewhere that the very early grey one had painting issues but Leica resolved it, which caused a delay in the grey supply.
As for the look, it obviously depends on taste, but I find it very classy.

Don't know really, mine is gray and everybody seems to like it.

Interestingly my dealer told me that 5 on the list had changed to color to gray the last month. Guess SOMEBODY, other than me, like the gray for sure.

Frankly the grey one looks cheaper to me, pity they left the chromium out, so for me it would be black, but here in the Netherlands you can still not find them

The black paint is very much tougher than previous Leica black paint finishes. And although I bought a black version because that is what I ordered (and could get), I think in retrospect the grey is a really classy and superior colour.

I like the black version better. I wish there was a chrome version, the gray is a bit too dark for me.
