M9-P: That was quick...

I think it's a used one!!:eek::p
Seriously: this kind of price-gouging is sure to raise a few eyebrows in Solms. Foto Hobby may find it a bit difficult to obtain an early dealer-demonstrator next time around..:rolleyes:

Well, a fool and his money and caveat emptor and all that... If some idiot decides to hit the BIN button I cannot feel sorry for him. But I agree, the mentality displayed is not what we look for in dealers of our favorite brand.

No different to people flogging off Fuji X100 for $1800 on the forums. Welcome to the world of supply and demand.

on the one hand: sleazy behavior deplored by most of us. on the other hand:for the few dollars to post an auction, lots of attention from around the world. good marketing; bad behavior.

Indeed, we saw this a few times on the RFF Classifieds with the X100, but like you say, this is capitalism at work.

Also surprises me how many people are calling the potential buyer of this camera an idiot. For some people, the money is so inconsequential that being overcharged by thousands of dollars for the convenience of getting it quick is like others paying an extra $1 for fast shipping. It just amazes me how much vitriol is reserved for people who choose to buy something we don't.
