M9 with Nikkor 35/1.8 LTM

My images also do not show a yellow cast. Maybe the difference between my images taken with M9 with Nikkor and M8 with Summicron are due mostly due to having different focal lengths. I suspected this to be the case.

Raid,

I am under the opinion that you are correct: longer focal lengths compress the contrast range, while wides have an inate broad contrast range.

BTW the Monochrom really-really likes the Nikkor.

Thank you Adam. I am still exploring this lens. In general, the "excellent" lenses among the vintage lenses work very well for fog. You want a high resolution lens that is not high in contrast.

I took some snapshots of the sunset over Pensacola Bay yesterday. I used ISO 160 and set the Nikkor to 4.0 (I think).

Raid, I'm planning to sell enough lenses to fund an M9, and I was contemplating letting my Nikkor 35/1.8 go, on the assumption that the deeply protruding rear element might not play well with the M9. But these pictures are making me reconsider! Something has to go, painful as it may be....

My Nikkor is in ltm mount. The Nikon mount 35/1.8 will not fit the M9. The Nikkor and the M9 match very well.
