Hey guys,
I've got a minor issue I'm hoping you can help me with: I recently purchased a new 50mm Summarit f2.4 for my M9, which is 6-bit coded but the lens info doesn't show up in the EXIF.
My M9 has been updated to the latest firmware and I typically set the lens detection to AUTO but the lens data still doesn't appear... anyone else had this issue before?
Cheers!

Clean the window of the detector LEDs and check if the paint is clean in the indentations of the lens. Repaint if needed.

... or set the camera to manual lens detection.

I don't think the Summarit 2.4 appears in the manual lens detection list.

Good point. I did know this fact.
I would have then chosen a similar focal length at 2.8.

Solution is recode as 2.5 after you do all the remedial steps already given.
Laquer thinner will probably take the paint out. Put some on a cotton bud and protect the other pits
