Hi Guys,
I had resently got a Japanese made Macro Switar Adapter, and got a early f/1.8 verison.
The lens shown the sign of use, glass is ok, with hardly any cleaning marks.
After a few days of running around in Guangzhou, China, I finally went out shooting yesterday. Used a roll of colour negative (Konica ISO 400, the only colour film on hand), and went to a Buddist Temple.
Got the film back.
The colour is great, I expect less colour because of the consumer film, but at f/8, the colour really stands out. Noticeable improve by going from f/5.6 to f/8, defination is great. Gonna get myself setup for taking postives, a roll of Velvia or 64T should make my day. OK, let's find somewhere interesting to shoot...
Foucsing, the adapter works alright from 6 to 30 ft (f/4, f/5.6, f/8), close focusing is a 50/50 situation. Shoot about 8 photos on the back of a chinese stone lion (f/5.6 and f/8) only 50% OK, I think the set up front foucs a little bit, but should really shoot more to tell..
Exposure, that day was done by pointing the meter on the ground (thanks Joe! 😀 ), or zone system (need to practice more). Gonna get a grey card! (photo student's name card, Frank? 😀 )
Sucess rate, I might say 3 or 4 out of 30 developed, or 1 that I am going to place it on my "next" office table.
No pictures uploaded yet, only had them developed. Will post some from future rolls (Velvia, yeah!)
Cheers
