macro...when?

for those who do macro or close up photography...do you do more of it in the winter when stuck indoors?

Guilty....I mean yes. Often indoors in inclement weather.

Just the opposite. Summer when flowers and small insects/bugs are everywhere. This one was the size of a dime.

I always carry a lens that will allow me to get close, any season. It could be flowers in spring, rust in fall, I've done macro snow scapes as well. If you are a person not prone to shoot in the winter though, macro is a good way to hone your skills on things you might not ordinarily shoot.

Mostly in the spring summer for me but I must admit with the weather being so bad of late thinking of doing some indoors.This is etrsi bellows ektar 100.

I don't really do much macro anymore, so I guess it would be about 50/50. It usually just depended on when I saw something that needed to be macro, such as a flower, bug, leaves, or whatever.

To me macro is more or less equivalent with showing detail of life in its various forms.. So that means no indoor shooting of inanimate objects in winter. Instead, best seasons are spring to early summer (insects) and autumn (mushrooms, leaves, lichen, nuts, etc)..

I would be more likely to do studio work in wintr but work out of doors when subjects present themselves.
