Hi,
I know there are many great photos of Madrid presented here, on this forum, anyway I want to share a small set of mine.
Not typical for me, as I do mainly in BW and square :)

I hope you'll enjoy - if you can comment it in any way, please do it. Recently on of my colleagues said I have to improve a lot my photographs (and didn't provide any details), so you know, maybe I'll get some feedback from you, guys.

Here is the whole set on flickr.

PS. BTW, the city is really great for walking and taking photos - even when you don't have much time (like me), and even if it's in the middle of January. :)

Hi Rudolf. You asked for feed back so I can give you my fairly uneducated opinion. I wish some of your pictures were not taken with a wide lens, for example the lady and the moving train. I think the barber picture above is not bad, But I would like to see the walker in focus and maybe the barber shop people blured out. to me the walker is the central figure, what is he thinking ? where is he going? Does he want a haircut? others may disagree.

Looking at the performer in the square picture, I didnt notice the dog before, but I notice him now and I kind of like the picture, but I wonder if a lot of the other information was nesesary in this picture.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your voice!

The case of eliminating unnecessary information is something I'm still trying to improve. But - I really don't know why - I love this wide lens anyway, and almost every time I go shooting I take it mounted to my camera. :)

You have some interesting photos in that set, some not so much. I think you can edit the set down to a tighter selection and make it a lot stronger. I like the wide shots and I like the very little bit of you showing up in some of them. I think this can be a specific series to pursue, where you put the reader actually in your shoes in a less traditional style of photography.

To me these are the best ones that work together:

The last two could do with a little bit more warmth to fall in line visually with the other three.

Best!

Fred,
Frankly speaking I didn't arrange these photos - I just gathered them by tag on flickr.
But I like your suggestion, thanks a lot for that!
