Magnifier for R-D1

You might do a search on the forums. It has been discussed. As I recall, the general feeling was that it was a bit in the way in usage.

The megaperls is no longer available. The company site lists it as discontinued and will no longer be manufacturing it. There are none on ebay also. I will search RF as suggested. Is there anyone who has used the Nikon product that can say anything about it? Thank so much.
Well, I did a search for the nikon and did not come up with anything. Help*anyone?

I do. 2x magnification is too much to see the 50mm brightlines. I originally intended it to help focus a noctilux but it requires a two step process. Flip it down, focus, and then flip it back up to compose. Even then, there is probably error introduced because of the physical length of the magnifier. There is a clip that engages when the magnifier is down which makes it too difficult to quickly flip back up. I had to remove it. Also, the rubber eye cap has a tendency to fall off when the camera is taken in and out of my shoulder bag. In fact, the whole thing has a tendency to get caught up on things.

But it is very helpfull for 75mm and up.

I´ve a smaller Nikon DG-1 without the huge rubber eye cap, but no R-D1 anymore. If someone is interested ... PM is welcome.

I dont think Nikon one fits on RD1 due to the design of the VF on RD1. Megaperls is the best.

DRAT. I found the Megaperls adapter so useful on the ZI as well as the RD-1 that I was going to buy a second one, but I dithered. Now they don't make them any more.

Simple question: will the Nikon DK-17M fit straight on to the R-D1s, or does it require a step-ring? Thanks.
