Hello everybody,

I am looking for a engineer that could do me a custom modification.
For a long time i am dreaming of modifying a Plaubel Makina 670 with a Rollei Schneider Xenotar 80mm f2.0 and a Plaubel Makina W67 with a Rollei Schneider 50mm f2.8.

Can somebody point me out to somebody that would be able to do this custom modifications? it would be a dream come true!!!!

Thank you and all the best
(sorry for my bad english)

Just buy yourself a Rollei.
DOF of an 80mm F2.0 lens on 6x7 is equivalent to DOF of a Leica 40mm F0.95 lens. You need Leica level tolerances and a completely rigid body to get this straight, plus the lens would probably be too big for a Makina anyway. I have a Hasselblad F Distagon 50/2.8 and I would not imagine how such a chunk of glass could be seated on a rangefinder camera, even 6x7.

thank you for your answers! i will try skgrimes!
I think it could really be possible to fit the lenses to the Makinas.

If they do it, it would be my ultimate camera kit for the rest of my life!

Another thought i had is maybe trying using a Linhof Press 70 as camera, but they are really rare. Maybe they have a more accurate Rangefinder, but (as i imagine) should be more strange to handle.

Again, thank you really much and all the best!
