Today I want to present some shots taken with the somewhat rare Mamiya 35 rangefinder. This is the Model II, with a Mamiya Sekor 2.8 / 50 mm lens, apparently sold from 1956 on.
The finder is rather dim but clear, with the rangefinder patch only usable in good lightning conditions. The rangefinder window is made of plastic, which after 50 years seriously degrades the quality of the rangefinder patch - scratches and such.
The lens seems certainly sharp enough for a Tessar type,
I guess my flatbed scanner is a more serious threat
for image quality. Outdoor shots were mostly taken at f/11 or f/16, those inside the shots were probably f/5.6 - i especially like them.
Film is Agfa APX100 developed in Rodinal.
