hi there.
i wonder whether someone here used/uses or owned/owns one of the mamiya 1960ies made fixed lens 35mm rangefinders, like mamiya ruby, or auto deluxe or super deluxe, or even sears tower 18B.

all comments welcome!

i found some references on the net recently, and those cameras seemed to me to be quite solid and well engineered, so i wonder whether it's worth while to go hunting for them on flea markets, garage sells or even @ the net.

cheers,
sebastian

I had a Ruby, it was in fairly shabby condition. Not up to the quality of the Minolta, Oly, Canon, etc. I have a Super Deluxe, it's got a very nice (1.5) lens. Ergonomics - not so much. It's a big sharp-edged brick. That has a charm of sorts, but not as easy to use as say the Yashica Lynx 14.
