Hi,
I'm wondering if there are any users of the optional viewfinder (FV702) for the Mamiya7 150mm lens? I just got one recently (used, but very nice cond.), but looking through i find the image kind of "hazy" or a bit "fogged". Certainly less clear than with the builtin VF of the camera (the 50mm viewfinder is better but also has a bit of haze...) - I assume this is because they use cheaper glass (only single coatings?) in the external viewfinders... not a big problem in the end, but do you have a similar experience?
Cheers

thanks for the quick reply!
interesting, haven't thought of that. the 150mm VF doesn't have a bubble level though and the 'haze' is more pronounced there...
i just checked the 50mm VF and a lot of flare, reflections, ghosts, etc. there, so i also assume that the coatings are of 'minor' quality.
cheers

just for the records, today i asked our local Mamiya rep. about the viewfinder haze and he said that all of them are like that... in the case of the 150mm VF there is no easy way to open it too, so just leave it and live with it...

Nice... :bang:
Yes, kind of disappointing... especially with a list price of 250$ !
