Mamiya 7 7ii with a Really Right Stuff plate

Yes, you can change film with it attached. What you can't do (unlike the now unavailable Kirk version) is use a cable release with it on. You could possible modify it with a dremel if you needed to.

By the way, I have 2 as new RRS B53 flat plates for the Mamiya 7/7II (I sold my Mamiya's) if they're of any use to you.

Craig,
thanks man for all the info. no issue utilizing the dremel to allow cable release functionality!
I did a quick search for B53 plate which doesnt look to be a current production itemt and must have been replaced with the MC-L plate. love to put one of them to use, what would it cost me?

Craig,
Dude, you are so the man! Got the plates in the mail and that is exactly what I needed. Passing the second one on to a friend with a 7 as well. Cheers!

Glad to know they arrived... Better someone can use them as I no long had any use for them. Just realised this evening looking for something else that I still have the external battery for the M7 and a bunch of 58mm & 67mm filters I had for the lenses...

FYI, the universal RRS plate is only an issue with the cable release on the Mamiya 7II, the original Mamiya 7 has the cable release socket in a different place and it's a non-issue.
