now that i am getting used to my mamiya 7, which i purchased because i mostly shoot landscapes, there is nothing i want to do more than take close up photos, headshots, etc.
does anyone out there have any experience with / comments on the close up adapter that can go with the 80mm lens? how close is "close up" when using it? a cursory google search doesnt bring up much info about this accessory.
thanks!

nobody special
I love my Mamiya 7 but it is simply not a "close up" camera. That is the realm of MF SLRs.
My old Bronica SQA has had the 110m macro lens mounted on it for several years just for such occasions.

I had the one for the mamiya 6. It took my 75 from 1m to 1/2m. Worked nicely. Not sure if its the same for the 7, but would guess so...

But has anybody tried this Macro gizmo? I love doing the occasional macro shot, even if it is a lot of hard work. Just look at this thread about my macro work with a FED. I would like to see some pictures please.

Well, since there was no replies I just went and purchased the kit. I will try taking a bunch of photos this week and will post results as I can.

nice shot. did you have to remove the frame to use it with the 65? I'd think the frame that is part of the adapter would be in the picture otherwise....

Yes you have to remove frame.
I'm using my hand to set the distance - from elbow to end of my fingers

I thought Mamiya advertised the close up adaptor for only the 80mm lens. Will it help on the 150?
