Hi all.
I search but I don't found nothing about what flash go fine with Mamiya 7 II.
Do you can say me what flash you use with this one? And how is the best way for to reach natural shots with that flash.
Thanks in advance.
Sorry for my bad English.

There is no flash dedicated to the Mamiya as far as I know.
Any Manual or Auto flash will do. I use a Vivitar 283 for example.

Good Question! I've started to wonder what flashes people are using .. just have not got around to doing the research yet.
I found this site related to flash photography helpful:
www.planetneil.com/faq/flash-techniques.html
There is a lot of info that pertains to DSLR's with CPU's and TTL's, etc., but I'm using an older camera/flash set up with my digital and only just use both in the manual mode. If you have a digital camera I would practice with it. Flash is a very technical thing .. at least it has had my head spinning .. but also a "feel" sort of thing, so the instant feedback of a digital is nice.
Cheers

Nikon SB-E?? I had a 7II, and I used a small Nikon Flash. I think it was the SB-E, but not sure. It was an excellent fill flash on the 7II., since it syncs at all speeds. I still have the flash unit, but sold the 7II a while back. I think I paid about $100 at the time...

Thanks all for your kinds responses.
I do the question above, because already I have a Metz 32 MZ-3 for Canon and don't fire with Mamiya 7 II, but with Canon camera go "fine"
Do you know if this flash work with Mamiya 7 ? Or the camera need go for repair. The main use with flash will be fill Flash.
Thanks in advance

D'oh!
Nikon flashes are good as many have pc connections. I've also used Metz flashes and have found the auto mode very good - just be aware that the flash uses a reflective meter so that you need to adjust flash exposure for the reflectivity of the subject.
I've never had problems triggering flash with my Broica RF645. But be aware that some older flashes have high trigger voltages that can damage modern cameras.
You also may want to consider wireless trigggers. There is a seller from Hong Kong that sells inexpensive triggers that are reported to work well:

Thank you for your replies.
I changed the Canon module for the standard, and the Metz 32 work.
If the exposure is good,I will remain with him.
Regards
