Mamiya 7 - some black and white wintery landscapes

STOPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!

We have no snow yet in Kabul and so the last thing I want to see are lovely snow scenes in the UK!

Its supposed to be about 5-10 degs C colder here and a pretty well guaranteed white Xmas! Instead we have a chill, blue skies and not the slightest hint of snow :( I love nothing more than shooting in the heavy snow here. It transforms the place... but this year is not looking promising.

Marvellous. Great to see these shots of one of England's finer parts taken with the amazing Mamiya. I took mine, with the 43/65/150 lenses, to Norway earlier this year and it was superb.

I meant to post back when you first posted these -- but wow, what a super gift to all of us. Those photos have been haunting me ever since seeing them. Thank you.

To all on this side of the water, a good night -- to those of you east of here, a merry Xmas morning.

A great set of images NIck, I really enjoyed looking at those.

I will obviously have to go on one of Dave Butcher's courses! I met Dave briefly at the Focus on Imaging show in Birmingham last February where he had some stunning prints on display - I also have a copy of his book 'Peak Light'. I've thought since about signing up for one of his events but just haven't got around to it - life just gets in the way sometimes

All great photos, but #3 really is stunning. I can see that as an 11x14 on the wall. I've got to get out more with my Super Press 23.

Nick, thanks for sharing such beautiful images - your web site gallery is a joy to browse. Darn it, you've convinced me that MF is the only way to go for the sort of photos I most like to take. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Lynn
