Mamiya 7II issue. Bulb closes shutter at ~4s.

I've owned this camera since new and the problem happens with all 3 lenses I own (43, 80, 150).

If I try to use B, the shutter closes at about 4s even if I keep it pressed. All other functions seem normal. The battery is a 6v lithium which just came out of the package, but is quite old.

I have a new battery on order but would this behavior be a result of a low battery? Thanks.

Are the LEDs in the viewfinder flashing? In my Mamiya 6 they did when battery voltage was low. Do you have access to a multimeter? Worth checking the voltage, or just getting a new battery.

Thanks Nightlight. The shutter speed does not flash (passes the battery check). I ordered a couple of Duracell lithiums from Amazon and they should be here in a few days.

I do have a multimeter, but I wasn't sure if lithium batteries will test correctly with no load on them.
