Mamiya RB67 HELP!

You know that mechanical sound (of the shutter staying open) that the Mamiya makes when it shoots for a 1 second shutter?
Mine is not making that sound when I try an extended shutter with the cable release. It is just opening and closing, almost as if it's shooting at 400 shutter...any ideas?

I didn't see this reply before I posted in the general forum.
If you've read my reply there, I won't be redundant here. Thank you for the forum help. I've re-posted in the Evil SLR forum.

(but I don't want to ignore your reply twice...so I'll say here that: no, the T shutter is supposed to leave the shutter open until I depress the cable, but it just opens and closes instantly)
