Yes, I thought it had that touch of monocular majesty ... although they do say one shouldn't trust a man with a monocle

Unusual to see you shooting colour Stewart. Glad to hear your mum's on the mend.

After seeing those lovely prints you brought along to the meet it encouraged me to have some of mine printed .
Only after expert scanning tuition by Bob.

Another frame taken just before the pub break:
Sorry for the crappy tonality... This is HP5+ at box speed in Xtol. I can't get the hang of this film - the negs always come out murky and flat. I've tried DDX, D76 and Rodinal in addition to Xtol, to no avail. This was my last roll of HP5+, from now on I'll stick to good old TriX...

I shot HP5 when I started back into photography a few years back.
It was the last type of BW film that I used in the `70s.
It certainly has a different look.
I switched to XP2 but have just bought some HP5 again.
I`m having fun with the prints but taking the easy way out...getting them printed by Ilford
Even bought some of those smart Silverprint boxes.

A nice little vignette Vincent. Got any more.
Is the murkyness due to the density of the emulsion? I had trouble with that when scanning in the past.

I take the easy route with the dev too and get Ilford to do that.
It`s not cheap though at £6.99.
