If one was to get into the Mandler designs, what are the most recommended?

Thanks for reviving this thread. Going to head out this morning with a short set of his lenses. As for the most recommended, the ones I like best are the 35 Summilux, 75 Summilux, and 135 2.8 Elmarit. The 135 doesn't get a lot of love - it's big, heavy, slow to focus, and the goggles make it cumbersome. If you can get past all that, the results, especially with B&W film, are outstanding.

90mm Tele-Elmarit "fat" on the Leica M9:

I just noticed this! We all know that shooting into a mirror will render the Leica (or anything else) reversed left-to-right. but not top-to-bottom! I can see there is a sort of "inset" in the background, behind you; but I don't see how that could flip the camera. After all, you are not upside-down! How did this happen?
