Any love for these bags at all?
The NG-2345 is being cleared on the auction site and can be had for under $30 posted.
Thinking it may be just right for my Pentax M645, a spare lens, Minolta flash meter V and a few rolls of 120.

they look well made and i've read some favourable reviews, but no personal experience with them.

Looks like they come in two sizes, too big and too small. I didn't see anything that I liked.

That is a common affliction among camera bag makers.Looks like they come in two sizes, too big and too small.

not sure I agree. they make the bags, we decide what we want to carry in them......

too big, too small and too heavy for what they offer. Thick cotton with lots of pouches is just not the best material for a camera bag.

After handling one my assessment, too... and too many pockets, straps, buckets and whatever. I didn't think the stitching was particularly well-done, either.

Big outside, tiny inside - designed for one consumer grade DSLR with kit zoom. Won't do for 6x45 - I considered one of them for a GA645Zi, and passed as it was uncomfortably small, and that is only half the size of a 645 SLR...

Mine is too big, and too small for my laptop. I do like the overall style, but the execution is not great.

Al, I think you just nailed their redeeming social value. They're pretty.

I bought for the name, and I did like the style. In use however the bag is too deep, and won't fit a 13" laptop. Maybe I shoud get a smaller laptop?

I looked at them in the National Geographic store on Regent Street in London a year or two back. They were bloody expensive for what they were, in my opinion. probably a major mark-up (price-wise) for carrying the NG logo. For the money, I bough a much nicer Billingham (no I didn't have a Leica at the time) and I haven't been tempted by them since.
They did, from memory, do a tidy, weather-sealed black, rubberised bag that would be good in extreme wet locations / white water, canoeing, etc. but not mainstream.

I've had my Nat Geo bag (NG 2475) for over 6 years now and been happy with it, can't really compare it to any other bags as this is the only one I've had. Although been thinking of buying a Donke F2 for when I need to carry more gears.
Been with me all over the world holding from when I was still shooting DSLR to now shooting all sorts of camera.
I'm also using it as my daily bag to work, carrying one camera and lunch.

I usually keep one or 2 cameras in the padded compartment (can fit GF670 and one 35mm) then food/stuff on the main one. keys, wallet, filters, cable release on the front pouches and on the top cash, paper and phone.
the laptop compartment is small so smaller than 13" laptops only, great for ipad though.
Bought mine on sale for $50
the back left corner is wearing out though probably due to rubbing to my jeans when walking
