Just getting started with nikon Rf month. S3 Olympic and 2006 version 35mm f1.8. Bd S2 and 1957 Zeiss Biogon 21mm f4.5. A couple of Bellamy's "Camerahunter{ boxed with film (Orwo UN 54) - though I have had to resort to 400 iso film at the moment - It is Vancouver Spring and grey, gloomy and wet.

Another on the S Color skopar, great lens if you don't need the speed makes the S3 pocketable it is so compact even with the hood on. I'll see if it will pose over the W/E.

The plan is: start at the bottom , 21mm, and work up.
So two 21mm shots from the F4 SC Skopar.
Even with the hood that is not much bigger than an empty filter holder it is pretty flare resistant.

At last. I have started my Nikon Rf month with the Olympic S3 and a 2005 version of the 35mm f1.8. The film is Fomapan Retro 320. In Pyrocat HD it is a bit "gritty" - with distinct grain (to say the least!). Dan, one of the regulars at Aphrodite's on Tuedays had a 24x36" print done at Cosco. Brilliant reds - a Vancouver fireboat. Amazing quality. Could be from the 60's - looking at the grain. Somewhat akin to pushed TriX in Rodinal!!!!

I moved on to the 3.5cm f2.5, I forgot about the 2.8cm it's on another body so was not on the shelf and I was rushing out.

H 219 #4 Nikon Rf Month Heliar 12mm f5.6 by T&T and Mr B Abrahamsson, on Flickr[/IMG]

As wide as you can go with a rectilinear lens on the Nikon Rf. This is the Voigtlander Heliar 12mm f5.6 in F-mount - and with the rather elusive F-S adapter you can use it on the Nikon Rf's. It is still the widest rangefinder lens (rectilinear) until the Hyper Heliar 10mm f5.6 is released later this mont or early April. However that is only available in M and E-mount.

Close up performance of the 12mm f5.6. This is at 0,3 meters. Nikon S2, Voigtlander Heliar 12mm f5.6 - Nikon F mount version and a Voigtlander F-S adapter. You always run a risk of some parallax problem with extreme wide-angles - I did cut the flowers a bit tight in the corner! TriX in Pyrocat HD

Well it had to happen, fitted the 3.5cm f1.8 (original version) and shot a couple of rolls straight off, favourite focal length, favourite Nikon Rangefinder lens, you are going to have to put with more from that combination, I promise to go longer soon.
All on Tri-X Pyrocat HD
