The rather gnarly bark of the Arbutus tree. It does shed it and gets a new "skin" - the bare rink and branches are bright orange before being covered.

A touch soft as I stopped in the busy road for the framing and either I didn't actually stop or was too worried about the traffic to hold steady enough, compounded by a switch to lower iso film when the light is still very variable.

These days I'm only using Nikkor 2.1cm F4 for the test. The lens shows similar characteristic to the Zeiss Biogon 21mm F4.5, very sharp except the wideopen. Stunning lens indeed.
