Well, I guess it's time to stick my neck and post some images for the collective perusal of the boards. Have been shy of doing this as I really am outclassed round here, but hey...

Make Poverty History rally and march.

HP5+ in Diafine, all shot with a Bessa R, 35/2.5 and 75/2.5. Not totally convinced by the grain I'm getting - must post some full crops in the Darkroom forum tomorrow for opinions as to what I'm doing wrong. Funky artifacts on the first and last frame are from where the film got a little mangled loading onto a brand new spiral I should have checked over before using 🙁

Mark nice work and I for one am very glad you posted the link thank you. I wish I had the time to get up there and join those of you recording this historic effort.

Btw another link of pictures from my friend Gareth Harper (hope you don't mind) who I know admires you work 😉

Mark, must have been fun to run around that group with a camera. Lots of other types of events seem to dislike photographers making records of events like that one.

My favourite shot was the one with all the signs and placards on the grass at ready for the march.

good work, thanks

Jan

Mark,

Love the pic's just wondering were you picked up the Diafine? I'm in the UK (Birmingham) and can't seem to find any of this stuff anywhere

The word "outclassed" need not belong in your thread, no reason to be shy. Great event to be able to photograph and very enjoyable images. Thanks for posting.

Thanks all for your kind comments.

Ash - another member here ordered some diafine from Hurnon Camera, but ordered more than he really needed so I 'helped' him out 🙂

Jan - there was a great, friendly atnmosphere on the day, and nobody minded the cameras (there were more than me!) at all. It's a shame it's all been overshadowed a bit by the crap that's gone on in town since then. I had to go into town yesterday, and I've never actually seen so many police. There was a convoy of 15 police vans drove past me this morning, too. 🙁

Hey - I was wondering if any other RFFers were there. We need to get those hats.

It would have been hard for anyone to get upset about cameras; just about everone seemed to have one. Mainly phones and digicams, of course, although I did see one woman with a Mamiya 7.

I also developed my film with Huron Camera diafine - small world! Nothing to show here I'm afraid; my scanner is still sitting in its box under my enlarger...
