wow, a neg with copyright from Marilyn's first photo shoot at Zuma beach (near Malibu, California).

still, to me that seems a low price.

Me too, I guess she is old news now. Still, for me, it is a great iconic photo. I'm not crazy about people's photographs of celebs (how are they different from a picture of your neighbor), but some celebs are just much more important than others.

I'm surprised at the price too! Sounds like the buyer got a good investment, with copyright included in the price.

Would anyone here by a new 8x10 print of this image for $5 plus shipping? And when does the copyright expire? I think there's more to this. Also, the print the buyer bought -- it will have more value if it was printed by the photographer close to the time it was shot and if it has the proper verso and high quality. MM is an icon, but this photo of her isn't -- as compared to the one with the passing subway lifting her skirt or the hundred plus others that are iconic.
