There seems to be a sort of curse around the NEX 7... I've heard many such stories and have one of my own.
Last week, after waiting months for my pre-order from a local camera store, and after their supply depot said it would be at least another month, I happened to be walking past the Sony Store in a mall. Out of curiosity, I popped in and asked if they had any NEX 7's in stock... they said no, but they could get me one shipped in from another store the next day... of course I jumped at the opportunity. Two days later, I come pick up my camera, leave the store and walk to the bus stop and my phone rings... it's the camera store saying my pre-order is in and ready to be picked up!
