p.s. Einstein said space is curved. Now explain what happens to straight lines in that context.

This thread reminded me of an old grade school joke..
This thread reminded me of an old grade school joke..
Bobby comes running in from recess on the schoolyard, yelling "Teacher, Teacher, Johnny fell out of a tree on his ass". The teacher corrected Bobby, by saying, "Bobby, I think you must mean on his Rectum". Bobby retorts, "Rectum, Hell.... dam near killed him!"
Sorry, but you guys lost me at Rectumlinear.

Draw a straight line on a piece of graph paper, then bend the paper in a "U" shape. That's curved space. The line is still straight with reference to the paper dimension but curved outside of the papers frame of reference. It all depends on where you're standing and how you're seeing

Yeah, it's that whole frame of reference thang.

OK, so ... where's the Higgs boson then?

It all depends on how a certain lens renders it's subject. Therefore we have the concept of becoming a gear thread.

in the linear accelerator in cern, which is actually curved. so this brings us back to the topic.
...maybe

No its not. The Higgs Boson only occurs in the impact chamber for a fleeting moment and not in the accelerator. So the theory goes...

Einstein implied that everything isn't what it seems. But then Freud said, 'yes, but it all makes you horny.' My feeling is that here and now is rectilinear. As seen with a camera obscura.

Take away the impact chamber and free the Higgs Boson!
