it's just hide and seek
The annual May Day Demonstration in Bremen, Germany was somehow special this year: The workers' union chose this city, my hometown, for the main rally of 2009. Therefore the head of the workers' union, Michael Sommer, came to the city, being a former citizen since he lived and worked here for many years.
However, there was also an alternative demonstration by the so called "EuroMayDay" movement.
See what I saw and maybe give some comments/constructive critics.

Do no comments mean no interest? Or are they so crappy?

Sorry, I tried different times to write some comments to your pics, but I had not enough time the last days.
First, they are all technical brilliant, nice contrasts and good angels. I also like it very much, that these are no "Mai-Krawall-Touristpics" Its a serious documentation of a political event.
In details:
#1 I like the dynamical angle of the Flagg and the Man
#2 Young and older People stand together for the same thing. The Guy in the Trenchcoat is the eyecatcher. He could be everything...Sympathizer, Cop or anything else. That's the thrill in this pic.
#3 Peacefull and creative Engagement...maybe the second or third date of both young lovers ;-)
#4 + 5 Veterans of the leftliberal Movement
#6 I like the 6th very much, cause I'm asking me sometimes, are the Leaders, here Michael Sommer, still "One of the crowd" ? The Barriers are shielding his Person like a frame.
I have to go out
Further comments are following soon

##7,8, 9 and 12 are showing some political message from this demo, but for me it's not enough information.
#10 + 13 are showing a little backround of the demo. I like 13 cause it's very authentic and near to the people.
#11 is a kind of #2 but I like #2 more, but I think it's personally
#14 I like it, cause it's very atmosperical and technical a very nice and contrasty BW.

cweg (actually, what's your name? ^^), thanks for your comments.
I just build an album over on flickr with some of the shots. I think it makes more sense that way. Feel free to have a look http://www.flickr.com/photos/florian_d/sets/72157617646898754/
