may have finally lost it - selling D700 and M8 just to get an M9

Hi, the focusing issue is very unusual since you were probably happy with the lenses on your M8. So why do they all seem to be off in both directions using the M9? Strange. Hope you get it sorted out. Bob.

I loved my M8. I loved the look of the pictures, the crop factor wasn't a problem once you know what you've got. My M9 is brilliant but I don't find the same love for the imagies....maybe just me. I have a D300 that is sports/lowlight/action....its a machine...but the m9 is my choice for most things, if i had your combination and shot what I shoot I would't do it, I really wouldn't!

Bob- I'm really not sure. I've done some DIY correction on the horizontal. Unfortunately, this is only for a couple of lenses since it seems to make other lenses worse. My 21mm lens is completely whacked out, I shot my daughters Halloween parade today - f/11, ISO 400, pre focused to 8 feet and everything was soft. Just horrible.

As far as the M8 is concerned, the M8 RAW files at low ISO are pretty amazing. I can't say that I've noticed a huge difference between the M9 files. But that might be because I'm not getting the most out of my lenses yet.
