I never really thought about how one did develop glass plates; now I have an idea.

You dev plates the same way you dev sheets- or did, until rotary processors came along- in metal hangers suspended in open tanks in the dark. Many 4x5 steel hangers you can still find around are actually wide enough to fit plates. I still run sheets in the open; I bet plates would be tricky in the Jobo...

In my darkroom I have a box full of steel neg hangers, mostly in 4X5, a few in 5X7. But don't have a view camera. Hmmm. Something's missing from my kit.
