Shoot first then mirror slap..
I hate delays esp with slow cameras..
The unchanged Nikon-F the fastest release of my SLR kit.

i have pancake Nikkor-GN 45mm , first model.
Focuses wrong way to my other Nikon lenses..
The 40mm which way focus?
I love the 28mm and always use a 50mm.
The 105mm was almost glued for decades on the F.

The mod allows me to 2 step if I need to be very quiet and shake free or one step which is the original state of the shutter.

Last May we spent 2 1/2 weeks in Japan. I had one of my Nikon F's with a FTN head, and also carried a Olympus XA in my pocket. Shot 36 rolls of Kodak 400 and Fuji 40 color. Took mailers so I could mail film back to my processor in the U.S. as I went along. This worked well, and the sight of the old Nikon started some conversations. Great trip - hope yours is also.

Just curious, any problems sending those pre paid mailers from a foreign country to the USA?

Good choice of gear, although the last time I was in Israel, I shot with my ZI and ZM Planar 50/2.0.
