Measured modulation transfer function (MTF) of INDUSTAR 50/3.5 (PART I)

Hello all,

I would like to share my measurements of modulation transfer function (MTF) of Industar-50 3.5/50 lens. These are 'on axis' measurements for an object at 1.8 m distance. As you can see, the best result is achieved for lens set at f/5.6.

Sorry, I do not have MTF curves for Leitz 5cm Elmar or lens to measure.

Later I plan to measure Jupter 8. First I plan to report MTF for off-axis points for INDUSTAR 50/3.5

Browsing in the web a few years back I found a russian catalogue with technical data and diagrams of all Russian lenses (470 pages); of course it is in Russian.

If anyone is interested, I can e mail it. Actually I have the pdf's of catalogues for years 1970 and 1971.
