Looks good. Some great shots there. The boat on the shore had a strange sheen to the black shadow which might relate to your web site service maybe, unless that was a scan of a print. I liked the people link best. And I always thought you were that wise old man looking up to his right. But that's you on the front page, wise beyond your years.

Good start. I find perhaps a bit of a gap between posting somewhat under edited photos on line and offering print sales. If you want to make sales, I believe you should really strive to show the quality of hand crafted prints, by posting some LF output of undisputable technical content to attract buyers.

Apart of the images I had to chuckle regarding your trip preparation story, with all the considerations and doubts regarding the correct gear setup for this long journey. I will be away only 10 days and have to struggle with my tendencies.
Have fun and luck on your tour. And let us see some images at a later time.

Frank, I'm envious of your trip. I love grand adventures. It sounds like a journey taken straight from "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance." Let me suggest that including a trip down to Anamosa, IA might be in order as well. And if you make it Anamosa, contact me for housing too as I'm only about 30 miles south of there.
The website looks great. And you're right, the R100/7 is a MUCH better choice for the trip. The Honda UJM will undoubtedly make the journey, but not in as much comfort (or frankly, style.)
I expect to see a body of work of the magnitude of Robert Frank's work. That's not much pressure, is it? <grin>
Great images, and I agree that I like the people shots best myself.

Hello Frank,
I'm glad to hear about your retirement, and I hope you really enjoy that long trip... Great moment for it! I wish you happy shooting every day while riding, in a relaxed beginning of your new life... I like the photographs you used for your site: very human, with high emotional content no matter the subject, technical aspects, etc... Those are photographs that matter: it can be felt inside... I left your site with a comfortable sensation of true love for life and for photography, feeling under my skin an unusual mix of calm and adventure hunger... Beautiful color work too! Thank you very much!
Cheers,
Juan

Hi Frank,
Juts a friendly suggestion; as you drive South, skip Arkansas and drive directly to New Orleans and then drive through Baton Rouge and keep driving West.
This looks like a great plan anyways.

Hi Raid, thanks for he suggestion, but I won't be going that far south. I've been to New Orleans before. You're going to have to visit Toronto!

Ich mag deine kleine website! Looks clean and simple, as it should be. Love the shot of the Honda and the rising sun mural.
P.S.: I am jealous of your darkroom!

About time! I like the people photographs the best but I am prejudiced towards "street" and "people." Post some more.

Hi Brad,
I'm making my way from Rochester NY, to Landisburg PA,
(then Front Royal to get on Skyline Dr.)
If you are in north central PA, you may be on the way!
