Hey guys, having met up with the NYC crew, how about we get our own thing started? How about Sunday 2nd September?

Meet up at a cafe/bar, get to know each other, talk about our gear and gork at each others', then out for a little shooting.

Who's in?

ill be down in melbs from the 8-16 if thats anythings to go by. would very be interested in attending if the meet coincides with those days

Well the date is flexible dependent on the large majority of people. Would be great if you could join Pitadotcom. I could possibly do the 9th, but after that I'm off to asia teaching at my workshops.

alternatively you could try whirlpool forums and to raise interest for the event. but that would bring out all the d/slr shooters haha

This is a very nice idea. Regrettably I'm sick this weekend and at a conference next weekend. Melbourne, Victoria: how do we meet if we haven't been introduced? Where's Hugh Grant when you need him.

just wondering what the general reception is when shooting in melbourne? i already find brisbane a aggressive place to shoot so hopefully melbourne isn't too bad. but then again it might be down to my noobiness that stops me from making the shots i want

Brisbane? an aggressive place to shoot? as in street photography? i live in Brisbane and i haven't found it aggressive at all. then again, i generally don't take photos of people.

i'm rather late to this thread, but perhaps there could be a meetup at a later date, not necessarily in September. i have no idea when or if i could make it to Melbourne, though.

I am interested. I've met Spyro and must arrange coffee with him again. I'd like to meet some of you other clever Melburnians.
