Hi All. Just a thought that occurred to me the other day while out and about trying to capture street life. How many of you that shoot B&W use a yellow filter? Years ago it was the norm; today? If you do, why, if you don’t why: and if you prefer a ?????? filter, why.
As I said. Just a thought.

Take care.
B.

I have just about given up b&w filters on C-41 b&w film. I feel they enhance contrast too much. With regular b&w, say TriX or HP5, I use the yellow, orange and sometimes red. In 120, certainly so!

Recently I've been using filters more with Ilford Delta films (which I've "settled" on for the time being) under certain kinds of light. Diffused, cloudy days, for example, when things seem to lack definition. No great insight, I know, but I like the results I'm getting.
