Here in the USA, tomorrow is the Memorial Day holiday. It's a great opportunity for some great shots of ceremonies, flags and honoring our nations heros.
I'll be out with the Bessa R and some XP2, let's share here later. 😎

Oh, and don't forget to shake a vets hand and thank him for the freedom to take his picture ~ ; - )
🙂

Parade yesterday and today.

I went out early this morning to take photographs of some memorials, only to find the shutter of my Yashica Mat is gone. Good thing I had my M3 with me as a backup.

Wow Rover,
Glad you had the M3 backup.
Here's 3 digital shots, the Astia and XP2 won't be back till next week.
One shot is part of the WA state Viet Nam veteran's wall, the quilt is for K9 vet's and the inside of our state capitol building with two mayors, a county commisioner and an injured Iraq vet.
The governor, who lives only 100 yards away, couldn't seem to find time to attend, ahem, I didn't vote for her. 😡

Thank God for all our brave young men and women who serve to keep freedom safe.

Very nice, I will have to soup my shots this week. My backlog is getting too big so it is time to do some processing.

Simple parade in my small town today, nice little crowd and lots of flags.

Yes, I have a three reel tank which will work out fine for the stuff I have ready for Diafine. This time around though I may be able to use a bigger one if I had it.

Penguin_101,
Nice shots. I like the town's center-of-attraction in the background - LOL.

Ann-Marie and I met up with a fellow RFF'er and his wife, and we drove out to Sarah P. Duke Gardens, on the grounds of Duke University. Awesome place! I shot my new Pentax *ist DS with an el cheapo 28-70mm 3.5-5.6 Tokina AF. Getting a lot of milage out of this new camera, let me tell you. But - film is still king for me. This is just testing out some new ideas for making money.

OK, here's some photos. Believe me, I wasn't cherry-picking to use these images - the place is incredible.

And can somebody identify this freaky duck?

Best Regards,

Bill Mattocks

It's OK Bill,
RFF'ers are used to being called "Odd Ducks" - LOL.

The further duck in the second duck pic? Looks like he's just been swimming in outboard-motor oil... 🙂

The squatting photog seems to be multi-tasking, running two cams at once... Hey, is that a weed in front of him?
