The evening before Tour Day. I got this shot by sticking the camera through a gap in the fence were there was a personnel gate, and lining up the scene in the viewfinder from about a foot and a half away from it. Thought I had the plane centered, but I like this better. I cropped it square to eliminate excess sky and tarmac.

Interesting. Those were amazing aircraft. There was recently a flyover of several areas in DC and Northern Virginia, of several T-6 Texans, a B-25, and I think a B-17. It was due to a celebration in Culpepper. Sadly, I wasn't able to see it.

Was the Memphis Bell part of that?

Don't know for sure, Herd, but the Belle was on a tour swing taking it through several towns in Virginia and the Carolinas. It was headed to Charlotte, NC from here. You can check the itinerary here.
