I have just bought an Opemus 6 for a steal, but during transport home a mat glass in a round holder cracked in two. While assembling the enlarger it seemed like it should fit before or after the condenser, but I did not want to use force (usually the force is not withme, when I do :) so I wonder if any one has the wisdom or the manual that can help me.

After an hour or two of research I have found a manual in French, however pictures and data are readable, also for accesories, and the question of the round matt glass remains un solved.

Could it be that the idea is to take out the condenser and use it for a difuser in stead?

I just had a look at mine, and the round glass is not visible anywhere once the unit is assembled. I would guess that it fits in between the bulb and the filter drawer, and that you would insert it from the top where you put in the bulb unit. Give that a try, and if you are absolutely stick send me a PM and I'll open mine up over the weekend and send you a digital photo of the innards.

Cheers,
Rob

I got the solution from the norwegian forum on foto.no

In the axomat 3 manual it was described like this:

Axomat Ground Glass art # 781320. This ground glass serves to soften the light during the enlarging procedure, if negatives of very hard gradiation key are handled. It has to be set on the condenser mount after the lamphouse and the mount have been taken of.

So you were correct Rob!
Also I got help there with an english manual.
