I went for the first time last year and had fun. I did came early and just hanged out in the launching area and left around 1 pm when it got too hot for me. I plan to go again this Saturday at the same time and place. Bring lots of water!

I'm going, and like last year I'll be shooting everything but the parade. I particularly enjoy the aftermath, rather than the prequel or the parade itself.

I agree, I guess the most interesting shots I got afterwards and after 3 times watching the parade on the boardwalk, which requires 1.5 to 2hrs waiting to maintain a front row spot, I'll not do that again.
Well, despite the fact that I dissed it... it looks like I have nothing better to do, so I will be going.

Best time to shoot is early.
