About the same as with previous sunny years, but I wish that the costumes had been a bit more outlandish. Great to see a number of RFF folks present, including one who was sporting an RFF softie. It's one of the few times a year when I see lots of film equipment in use at a public event.

Yeah it was great meeting several people from this forum. Saw alot of Leica M bodies, which I also shoot. Also saw Rollei TLRs, Mamiya tlr, 4x5,+ stereo cameras. I lot of people shoot film at this event. I got ther at 10am which was way to early. Next time I will get there at 12:30 when the action is really just getting started. Had fun, but the event is not as good as when it used to start at Astroland in the good ale days. Harvey Stein was there shootin his leicas and is in the process of publishing a book called Coney Island which I expect will be great. Can't post my photos cause i don't do digital. Good meeting the folks I met, all nice people. Hasta Luego!

Dan, you were the photog with the Lieca M and the Fuji690? I am pretty sure I got a decent pic of you shooting the tattoed man with his daughter. I won't know for a while. I usually process my film 6 months after I shoot it for better editing and because I am constantly behind in processing. Later!

I shot three rolls of TWP 320-220 and three rolls of HP5 120 with a Rolleiflex 3.5F and a Tele Rolleiflex. My kit was great for this event, and I was approached and met many other shooters because of my gear. "They don't make old German cameras like they use to," I ended up saying many times. LOL. One guy with a Leica emptied his camera shooting me with my Rollei's. Artists by definition are exhibitionists and of course I wore no shirt.

I got there just after 11:00 and for me it was good timing. I did most of my shooting before the parade began at two. For me the big crowds that accompanied the parade made later day shooting more like snapshots and tourist photographs.

One memerable shot was when this tall long legged mermaid in a see-through body suit did a "Runway" shot for me. She saw my Rolleiflex and came from nowhere, and like I was Richard Avedon she strutted up and stopped precisely ten feet away from me and struck a pose revealing a nearly naked profile of her lanky body in the bright sun. When I clicked my shutter she walked away.

Another was the pole dancer float that was towed by a pirate on an oversized tricycle. Right on que the dancer jumped high on the pole-click; wrapped her legs around the pole-click; hung upside down-click; and then went spead eagle in slow motion-click. I was standing about six feet away. In the last shot her body and pole formed a full frame cruxifix on my square negative.

F 22 all day with MF was awesome.

Cal, I can't wait to see these images.

Been a little maniac lately. I only got rigged out in MF about a month ago with two new cameras and my first Rollei coming back from Harry Fleenor.

Tonight I will begin developing, but I have over 32 rolls of film to develope. About half is 220.

My girlfiend is yelling at me; she wants to see prints. Also in the last pole dancer shot in the sequece you can see her face. I thought I was a tease, but this girl was an obvious pro. Indeed, I found out that Rolleiflexes are mighty sexy cameras. LOL.

I was wondering around, didn't bump into any RF folks, but I guess I was looking in all the wrong spots.

I had an M6 with a Zeiss 50mm f/2 for the day, shot 3 rolls of Provia that I just bought in a 24 pack cold stored but recently expired, wanted to make sure they were still good before vacation at the end of the summer.

Cal handed off his Rollei negs to me yesterday (during our NYC RFF Meet-Up) for some quick scans (Note to Cal: I'll PM details to you later). I took the liberty to scan just the more, um, interesting ones, based on...oh, hell, who am I kidding?

One more set to come.

One more set. These three deserved their own "triptych" treatment:

Damn, Cal...I'm bleeping speechless.

I shot the above with a Rolleiflex 3.5F "Whiteface;" and while I was looking down into the waist level viewfinder, I couldn't help but think of up periscope because of all the nautical themes.

I wish Barrett would post the picture of the guy with the SLR drooling with the butt shot.

Although new to TLR (about a month), I was shooting the TLR like my Nikon F3 with a motor drive. I could tell she thought that the Rollei was a sexy camera. She held some poses for me by the way. A real pro.

Cal: I'll look up that one and try to scan it a little later. As my defense, I was momentarily bedazzled by the other stuff. ;)

I'll also want to get these negs back to you shortly, of course.

Barrett, Thanks again.

The shot I'm speaking of is a great intro into the show that followed BTW with the one pole dancer.

Also there is my "Runway" shot, where this girl walks towards me, strikes a pose, and then walks away after I clicked my shutter (towards the front of the roll). She is tall, lanky and pert, but the see through body stocking she is wearing doesn't appear to become as transparent as I remember it. As I remember the shot, the bright sun made her appear naked. She also isolated herself from the crowds by doing the "Runway" for me otherwise it would be just another half naked girl picture.

All this was shot on one roll of 220 BTW. A good one.

Ugh...had a rare 'net meltdown here, and trying to catch up with some overdue work as a result. Will have that scan up a little later, or some time tomorrow.
