From $748.00 a couple of weeks ago now up to $849.00 for the DPMs ... should have known it was too good to last! Possibly a reflection of the slide in our dollar over the last couple of months.

I just checked B&H and was surprised to see the DP1M and DP2M have both risen to $999.00 with the DP3M slightly cheaper at $938.00

That's surprising. Outside of a couple of cameras like the canon eos m that went to an all time low of 299, they normally don't come back close to their original msrp. Sales most have picked pretty well for them...

Think maybe you have influenced prices in Aussie Keith?

I remember when I got my DP3M from Kennedy's on line shop I had to ring them to ask about something and the person on the phone told me a large shipment was due soon and she wasn't able to quote prices from it.

I've noticed the SD1M price hasn't changed though but I suspect they don't move many of those!

The DPM series is still very good value here at $849.00 though ... and I'm a little suprised that B&H have bumped them back up to near the thousand dollar mark. It's a pretty limited camera for that sort of money IMO.

Only reason I have ever looked at them is because you wax so poetically about them:) Has to be something happening, model prices rarely ever go up after initial launch.

They are a superb camera but I don't think I'd pay a grand. My two DPMs cost me $750.00 each which I was happy to pay ... add a grip and a viewfinder and they start getting up there!

My DP1M fell backward while it was on my mini tripod, got a few scratches and thus it‘s a keeper no matter what.
Thanks Keith for bringing this up though.
