Metabones Minolta MD Lens to Fuji X Adapter

There are two different type of metabones md to Fuji x adapters. The normal one does not have a optical element built into it and is thus a normal 1.5x factor adapter. The more expensive one u are looking at is called a speedbooster. This has a .71 factor reducer built in due to the optical element which results in a 50 being essential a 50 (50x1.5x0.7) as opposed to a 75 fov due to the apsc sensor size of the xtran sensor. The reason it is known as a speedbooster is that u also gain a stop of light acquiring capability. A 50f2 lens is now a 50f1.4. Google metabones speedbooster for better info.

A follow-up ....

A follow-up ....

Last week I dropped $11(US) on a Fotasy adapter (Minolta-to-Fuji).

Got it. Attached a 50mm/f1.4 Minolta lens that I had and ... bang, I'm making pictures (always loved the look of Minolta pictures).

For sure, manual focusing the X-E1 is an "art", but I needed to slow down anyway.

I am very happy (2 days into this setup).

$11 😀
