Meteorite in Ontario

Coming home to Hamilton from a Sabres game in Buffalo my son and I saw a huge flash and light streak in the sky; I guessed it was a meteor, correctly it seems.
It landed in Parry Sound ON, about 300 miles from where we saw it. Hit the play button on the little screen to see it, or google "Parry Sound Meteor" if the link doesn't work.

I first wondered if it might be a part of that US spy satellite recently blown up, but the US would already have cordoned off the area I'm sure.

We get to see lots of little ones lighting up the sky around here, as we still have relatively little light pollution, but I've never seen a big one. Must be quite a thrill- even the little ones are fun to see.
 
I thought that too sepia, but they said on the radio to look for a heavy rock about the size of a man's fist.
Apparently they're worth major coin if you find one....
 
Yes, very pricey indeed, even little ones. Some folks in the US spend a few months every year looking for them in the desert and are 'on vacation' the rest of the year.
