????meter/battery question????

Maybe a dumb question but here goes, I have a meter (in camera) that takes 1.3v batteries, I am using 1.5v.... how many stops off am I????
I know I can buy the 1.3's off ebay but it would be easier if I could adjust the ASA or shutter/apeture instead, any ideas?

i don't think it's a linear thing.

can you check it against another meter?
if so, do it at all apertures (same ss) and see if it's consistant.

You can use the Wein Zinc-Air cells, or have the older camera converted. There's no set answer for the use of 1.5v batteries, as each cameras electrical system is different.
Sure am glad I've still got some PX625's - LOL. :angel:

Todd, it may not be off at all! Some camera meters, for instance Spotmatics, include a circuit that makes it tolerant of some differences in voltage. Originally made for mercury cells, they'll do fine with modern silver cells without recalibration. Not to say your piece of gear has this feature, but it might. 🙂
