Hello,
I have been lurking for a number of days and am now thinking (hard) about purshasing and Electro (GSN? most likely). My question is specific to how I often shoot which is to meter off something specific and then recomposing to what I want in the image. From what I ahve read, this is not possible with the GSN. Am I correct? If so, how do you get around this?

Thanks,

Doug

Unless someone has thought of a cunning way, the G/G{S,T}/G{S,T}N models cannot do an exposure lock.

But saying that - I've never had a problem with exposure on my GTN.

The only way around it would be to eyeball the subject and calculate whether it's likely to over or underexpose ... ie large dark areas or excessively bright highlights ...then compensate accordingly with the ISO dial. I guess the only help in making this judgement will be experience with the camera and the way it meters scenes! :)
