Hi, I have a Sekonic 308S which - as you may very well know - can be used either as reflected light or incident light meter.

For a street photography situation do you usually prefer one method over the other?

Although sometimes I will rely on the old f/16 rule I would love something more precise especially when I shoot slides.

Thanks

I use incident metering. Just check exposure with the meter at arms length every now and then or when light changes and transfer shutter setting/f number to the camera. That you, you are always ready.

Depends on the light more than the type of photography. If I'm in the same light at my subject(s), I'll use incident, otherwise, reflected.
